Many schools - one book - Many perspectives, one exhibition

Exhibition as part of the project "Many schools, one book"

29.07. - 29.09.2019

25 pupils from Cologne and Darmstadt have studied the novel "My Summer on the Moon" by Adriana Popescu at the Centre for Teacher Education (ZfL).

Adriana Popescu was born in Munich in 1980. She worked as a screenwriter and wrote for newspapers and blogs. In 2012 she was successful as a book author with her e-book "Versehentlich verliebt" (accidentally in love). "My Summer on the Moon" is about four teenagers who spend time together in therapy and find themselves. In workshops, the pupils dealt with the topics of "finding identity and growing up".

Once a year, the Centre for Teacher Education invites pupils from grades seven to eleven to the project days "Many schools, one book". They are given the opportunity to intensively deal with a novel in writing, illustration and theatre workshops. The project days "Many schools, one Book" are carried out as part of the LESEPUNKTE project and financially supported by the RheinEnergieStiftung and the University and City Library of Cologne.

LESEPUNKTE is an online review journal in which students review books under the guidance of teachers. It was founded in 2006 by the Chair of Early Modern History at the University of Cologne and the Chair of Middle and Modern Art History at Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) Munich. Since 2015, the Center for Teacher Education at the University of Cologne has been responsible for the project.
